Charles Mariano Aránguiz Sandoval (born April 17, 1989, in Puente Alto, Chile) is a Chilean football midfielder who plays for Universidad de Chile.[1] Charles nickname is "The Prince Charles".

He was born in Puente Alto in Diego Portales neighborhood. He started to play football in Universidad de Chile and then he left the club to join Cobreloa Academy when he was 13 years old.[2]
He made his debut in 2006, against Cobresal. His first goal in 1st División was against Ohiggins de Rancagua in 2006.
He participated in Milk Cup in 2007.
In 2008 he participated in Toulon Tournament, Milk Cup, and the Kupa Talents Cup.
He participated for the U-20 Chile Team in 2009 South American Youth Championship; there he scored 1 goal in the championship, by a free kick.
